CATAS are specialists in charity accounting and provides a range of cost-effective accounting and payroll services to churches and church-related trusts throughout New Zealand.

Established in 2005

CATAS was founded as an independent not-for-profit charitable company with funding from the Baptist Union of New Zealand in 2005.

At that time Baptist churches and church-related trusts were struggling with their financial management and associated reporting. In responding to this need, a decision was made to introduce a cost-effective accounting service that would assist, support and specialise in the faith based charitable sector.

​From small beginnings demand quickly increased and subsequently, a payroll service was added. Today CATAS services churches and related trusts across New Zealand that includes a many different Christian denominations and movements.

Originally registered as Church and Trust Accounting Services Limited, we rebranded to CATAS Limited in 2018.

Our Mission

CATAS’s mission is to prepare and administer the financial administration and compliance requirements of New Zealand churches and church based-trusts.

​Our commitment is to utilise our gifts of administration to provide a cost-effective financial administration service to churches and church-based trusts throughout New Zealand thereby enabling their people resource to be directed towards the fulfilment of their mission.
